  When he was just three years old, Justin was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma. "Because it is rare, we searched for a doctor that primarily treats this type of cancer," explained Justin's father, Jon. "We left our home in Tampa and ventured to New York City for treatment." Thanks to your ongoing support, the NCCS makes sure children like Justin get the specialized treatment they need, no matter where it is located. Beyond The Cure Scholarship Program

"Thinking toward my future fills me with an amazing amount of excitement. I desire so greatly to do for others what my doctors did for me. The revelation that a doctor encompasses both my love of science and helping others has left me focused solely on that path," says Melinda Marchiano. Melinda is one of 38 students from across the country to be awarded a 2012-2013 Beyond the Cure (BTC) scholarship.
